RESOLUTION NO. 2881
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPI'ING
THE WORK OF FURNISHING AND INSTALLING DEEP-WELL CENTRIFUGAL PUMP
WITH MOTOR, FURNISHING AND INSTALLING PIPING, VALVES, AND OTHER
MISCELLANEOUS WORK, AND COMPLETING SITE IMPROVEMENT AND CONTROL
BUILDING, AND OTHER MISCELLANEOUS WORK, IN ACCORDANCE WITH SCHEDULES
I, III, AND IV, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 324 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, West & Wiggs, Inc. was awarded the contract to
furnish and install the deep-well centrifugal pump with motor,
piping and valves, and other miscellaneous work, and tocompl.ete
the site improvement, including a control building and miscellaneous
grading and paving, pursuant to Schedules I, III, and IV ofContrac
No. 324 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, RObert H. King, Superintendent of Water and
Sewer Systems of the City of Vernon, has reported to the City
Council under date of December 23, 1966, that the work as described
above has been completed, and recommends that the work be ac~epted,
and payment be made to the contractor in accordance with the agree-
ment,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the work described in Schedules I, III,
21 and IV of Contract No. 324, plus other miscellaneous work as de-
22 tailed in said Contract, is hereby ~ccepted in accordance with
23 Contract No. 324 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That a partial payment of $19,589.95 is now
25 due and payable, and that the remaining fifteen (15%) per cent, or
26 the sum of $3,457.05, is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
27 adoption of this Resolution, and the City Council hereby directs
2.8 payment of said sums to the contractor, West & Wiggs, Inc.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
30 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and
31 thereaft.er the same shall be in full force and effect.
