RESOLUTION NO.' 2884'
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, EXPRESSING
SUPPORT TO THE CITY OF BELL IN THE OPENING AND IMPROVING OF BANDINI
'.0 BOULEVARD.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, Bandini Boulevard and its logical extensions,
6 after ultimate development, will be a major highway passing through
7 several political jurisdictions, and
8 WHEREAS, engineering studies indicate that public neces-
9 sity require that Bandini Boulevard be opened and improved through-
10 out its entire length, and
11 WHEREAS, a portion of this major highway is in the City
12 of Vernon, and
13 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon has expended considerable
14 portions of its monies and other resources, and anticipates further
15 expenditures in order to open and improve the portions of this
16 majoy highway within the City of Vernon, and
17 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bell, by their
18 Resolution No. 2027 dated November 21, 1966, has stated their
19 intention to open and improve Bandini Boulevard between Atlantic
20 Boulevard and Eastern Avenue, within the City of Bell,
21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
23 wishes to express support, and encourage the City Council of the
24 City of Sell in their proceedings and negotiations to accomplish
25 the opening and improvement of Bandini Boulevard between Atlantic
26 Boulevard and Eastern Avenue in the City of Bell.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
instructs the City Clerk of the City of Vernon to forward certified
copies of this Resolution to the City of Bell, the City of Los
Angeles, and the County of Los Angeles, and all other interested

agencies and individuals.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
2 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution.
~ ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th day of January, 1967.
