A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON,. DECLARING
ITS INTENTION TO VACATE THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC ALLEY LOCATED B.K"l'11!il!iN
ALAUOA STREET AND FIRST STREET IN THE CITY OF VERNON ,AND . RUNNING
SOUTHERLY FROIl. 57TH STREET FORA DISTANCE OF 225 FEET IN LENGTIl,
PURSUANT TO SECTION 8322 OF THE STREETS AND HIGBWA YS CODE 'OF 'fBE
STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOI'S:
WHEREAS, there has been ma:lntained by the City of VerllGn
a.pu'blic alley south of 57th Street between Alameda Street aDd
First Street, runningia a southerly directioa approximately .half
way. of both of said streets., aad
WBEREAS, a map showiag the locatio.. of.said street

SECTION-I: That the City CQuncil of the City of Vernon
hereby declares its inteBtion te vacate the alley above described,
and preseBtly maintained as a public.alley in the City ofVernoa.

does hereby. set the. place .andtime for public hearing of all per-

this Resolution of intention and time and place of hearing.

S"ECTION4: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
hereby finds that the legal description of the property described
as the public alley as set forth above is as follows:
Beginning at a point, said point being the north-
easterly corner of Let 23.of the BfilY Tract Addition to
Nadeav..Park.as recorded i.Book .29, Page 2.ofMiscellaneous
Records .. in the Office> of the County Recorder , County of
Los Angeles, California, thence, southerly aloag the
easterly line of Lots 23, 22,21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, and
15 of the said Hay Tract Addition to Nadeau Park to the
southeasterly corner of the said Lot 15, thellce easterly
to the southwesterly corner of Lot 32 of the said lIay Tract
Addition to. Nadeau Park thence northerly along the westerly
line of J"ots 32, 31, 30, ,29, 28, 27, 26, 25, and 24 of the
said Hay Tract Addition<t. Nadeau Park'to the northwesterly
corner of the said Lot 24,thel1ce westerly to the point of
beginlliDg, all withi",t,the City of Vernon, County of Los
Angeles, State of California.
SECTION S: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
13 hereby finds that the Pllblic convenience and necessity require
14 the reservation of easements and rights of way to the extent that
15 the same may.have been granted by the. City 'Of Vernon or its pre-
16 decessor in title for purposes of constructioll, maintenance, and
17 operation ofa railroad spur track and, accordingly, to the extent
18 that such easements and rights of way have been previously
19 reserved, it is the inteation of the City Council of the City of
20 Vernon that the same shall not be vacated by the City Council of
21 the City of Vernon.

SECTION 6: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
23 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and shall post
24 the.same pursuant to Section 8322 of the streets aad Highways Code
25 of the State of California, and thereupon and thereafter the same
26 shall be in full force and effect.
