RESOLUTION NO. 2893
A RESOLUTION_OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF CO~~TRUCTION OF A WATER MAIN, BOYLE AVENUE TO ALCOA
A VENUE, NORTH OF RANDOLPH STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 325.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, INDUSTRIAL PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY was
7 awarded the contract for theconstru~ti9n of a water main, Boyle
8 Avenue to Alcoa Avenue, North of Randolph street, pursuant to
9 Contract No. 325 of the City of Vernon, and
10 WHEREAS, R.H. KING, Superintendent of Water IE Sewer
11 Systems of the City of Vernon has reported to the City Council
12 unde,r date of February 14, 1967, that the work of the coastructioll
13 of a water main, Boyle Avenue to Alcoa Avenue, North of Randolph
14 street, in accordance with Contract No. 325, has been completed,
15 and recommends that the work be accepted, and payment be made to
16tbe contractor in accordance with the agreement,
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the work of construction of a water main
19 Boyle Avenue to Alcoa Avenue, North of Randolph street, in accord-
20 ance with Contract No. 325, is hereby accepted, in accordance with
21 Contract No. 325 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2': That a partial payment of $16,337.00 is now
23 due and payable, and that the remaining fifteen per ceat (15%), or
24 the sum of $2,883.00 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
25 adoptien of this Resolution, and the City Council hereby dLrects
26 payment of said sums to the contractor, Industrial Pipeline
27 Construction Company.

S'ECTION-3': That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
29 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and
30 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
