RESOLUTION NO. 28"98
A . RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~ CITY OF VERNON, VACATING
THAT CERTAIN PUBLIC. ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN ALAJ4EDA STREET AND FIRST
STREET IN THE CITY OF VERNON, AND .RUNNING SOUTHERLY FROM: .57TH
STREET FOR A DISTANCE OF 225 FEET IN LENGTH.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, pur'suant to Resolution No. 2891, the City Council
7 of the City of Vernon held a public hearing on March 21, 1967 at
8 2:00 o'clock P.M. in the City Council Chambers of the City of
9 Vernon, a.t 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, and the City Council at said time
10 and place fixed for hearing has heard all evidence offered by any
11 persons interested in the vacation of the hereinafter described
12 public alley, and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds
14 from all the evidence submitted, that the public alley described
15 below and described in the resolution of intention, being Resolution
16 No. 2891, is unnecessary for present or prospective public street
17 purposes, and
18 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds
19 that said public hearing was held not less than fifteen (15) days
20 from the date of the passage of Resolution No. 2891, and that
21 notices of street vacation have been posted conspicuously along the
22 line of said public alley at least ten (10) days before the date
23 set for hearing, all in accordance with Section 8322 of the streets
24 and Highways Code of the State of California,
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
27 hereby vacates t.he public alley in the City of Vernon, described
28 as follows:

Beginning at a point, said point being the north~
easterly corner of LOt 23 of thellay Tract Addition to
Nadeau Park as recorded in Book 29, Page 2 of Miscellaneous
Records in the Office of the County Recorder, County of
Los Angeles, California, then~e southerly along the
easterly line of LP"Gs 23, 22, 21, 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, and
15 of .the said Hay Tract Addition to Nadeau Park to the

SECTION '2: That the< City Clerk of the City .of Vernon

9 copy of this Resolution, which may be deemed an Order, to be
10 recorded in the'Office of theCounty'1t~corder of the. County of
11 Los Angeles,andthereupon and thereafter the sam.e shall be ill full
12 force and effect.
