2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF RELOCATING 26th STREET WATERJ4AIN .AT DOWNEY ROAD
'.3 UNDERPASS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 326 OF THE CITY OF VERNO.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY:OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS,William B. Long Contractors, Inc. was awarded th
6 contract for the work of relocating 26th Street Water Main at
7 Downey Road Underpass, pursuant to Contract NQ. ~26 of the City of

8 Vernon, and
9 WHEREAS, R. H. King, Superintendnet of Water and Sewer
10 Systems of the City of Vernon., has reported to the City Council
11 under date of March 30, 1967, that the Wq,r:!t of,relocating?6th
12' Street Water Main at Downey Road Underpass has been completed, and
13 recommends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the
14 contractor in accordance with the agreement,
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the work of relocating 26th Street
17 Water Main at Downey Road Underpass, pursuant to Contract NO. 326,
18 is hereby accepted .in accordance with Contract No. 326 heretofore
19 approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That a partial payment of $12,125.00 is now
21 due and payable, .and that the remaining fifteen (15%) per cent, or
22 the sum of $2,139.70 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
23 adoption of this Resolution, and the City Council hereby directs
24 payment of said sums to the contractor, William B. Long Contractors,
25 Inc.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
27 shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupOn and
28 tbereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
