RESOLUTION' NO. 2911'
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE ALAMEDA STREET-EAST ROADWAY CONSTRUCTION, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 322 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,Sully-lliller Construction Company was awarded
the contract for the Alameda Street-East Roadway Construction, in
accordance with Contract NO. 322 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, D. D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer, has reported
to the City Council under date of June 19, 1967, that the w():J"k for
the Alameda street-East Roadway construction has been completed
and recoJllDlends that the work be accepted and payment be made to the
contractor in accordance with the agreement,
NOW, THERlFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the work of the Alameda street- East
15 Roadway construction, in accordance with Contract No. 322, is
16 hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That a partial payment of $37,458.81 has been
18 made, and that a partial payment of $32,553.36 is now due and
19 pa,yable, and that the remaining fifteen per cent (15%), or the sum
20 of $12,355.09, is pa,yable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption
21 of this resolution, and the City Council hereby directs payment of
22 said sum to the contractor, Sully-Miller Construction Company.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernen shall
24 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon ;dad there-
25 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 20th day of June, 1967.
