A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF VERNO)\f,
DETERMINING FINAL ACTION ON THE' SALE OF A SITE DEDICATED
TO A PUBLIC USE, DECLARING THE CITY'S INTENTION TO$ELL
SAIl) PROPERTY, .AND DETERMINING THAT NO PROTESTS HAYE
BEEN RECEIVED.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WlIEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to
Resolution No. 2915, has held a hearing to hear protests of the sale of t,he
after-described property, on the 3rd day of October, 1967, at the hour of
2 :00 otclockP. M., in the Council Chambers oIthe City Council, in the City
Hall, located at 4305 Santa. Fe Avenue, in. the City of Vernon,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon does hereby
findtbat ,there are no protests,' either written or oral, to the sale of certain
hereinafter described public property.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernoo finds that
it is in the public interests and convenience to require tpe sale, off1' public
site dedicated to a public use, as hereinafter described.
SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon hereby
agrees to sell said property, as hereinafter described, to Cl,ughertyPa~king
Compuy, a corporation" upon the terms and conditions as set ferth in that
certain letter agreement dated July 27, 1967, entered into betweenQlQugherty
. Packing Company, a corporation, and .City of Vernon, a municipal corporation,
and, further, pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in escrow
ip.structions with Title Insurance and Trust Company ineserownumber
6634432.
SECTION 4: That the property to be sold is described in Ewbit A
attached hereto and incorporated at this point as if set~ofth \D..lull..

SECTIDN 5: That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Vernon

are hereby authorized to execute said escrow instructions and, further, to
execute and deliver a deed in order to complete said escrQwinstructions.'
SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to
the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 3rd day of October, 1967.
