SECTION 5: That the City Council of the CItt of Vernon
has ascertained the general prevailing r;a~eof per die.,w.ges in

reference at this point for all purposes as iilf set forthinfu.ll
and hereby approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 6: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
directed to post said notice forthwith, and the first posti.g of
said notice shall not be less tban ten (10) day~ before the date
of opening bids for the proposed work. That said notice sb.all
provide tbat sealed proposals or bids will be received by tbe
City of Vernon, California, at the office of the City Clerk of
said City, at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, until the hour
of 2:00 o'clock P..., on tbe 6tb dayct February, 1968, in.,aecordane
with Contract No. 330 approved by said City.
SECTION 7: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.;

statement may be required before award is made to any particular
bidder.
TO be entitled to consideration, each bid stlbl'litted pursu-
ant to this notice shall be made out on a form to be obtained
at the Office of the Traffic Engineer; shall be accompanied by
a certifi'ed check, <1ralt or bid bond, payable at a bank authorized
to do business in the State of California, made payable at sight
to the City Clerk of the City of Vernon, in an amount equal to ten
per cent (10%) of the bid submitted, shall be delivered to the
City Clerk of the City of Vernon in asea~ed envelope at, Or
before, the time stated herein and must be plainly marked
"Proposal for Contract No. 330".
The above-mentioned check or bond shall be given as a
guarantee that the, bidder will enter into a contract if a".ried
to him and will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder.
