RESOLUTION NO. 2934
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ..VERNON DETERMINING
FINAL ACTION ON THE SALE OF A SITE DEDICATED TO A PUBLIC USE,
3 DECLARING THE CITY'S INTENTION TO SELL SAID PROPERTY, AND DETER-
MINING THAT NO PROTESTS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED.

5, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of vernon, pursuant
7 to No. 2925, has held a hearing to ~ear protests of the sale of
8 the after described property on the 2nd day of January, 1968, at
9 the hour of 2:00 o'clock P. M., in the Council Chambers of the City
10 Council, in the City Hall, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, in the
11 City of V.,aon,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Cou~cil of iheCity of Vernon
14 does hereby find that there are no protests, either written or oral,
15 to the sale of certain hereinafter described public property.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 hereby finds that notice of hearing of protests to the sale of
18 said public property has been published at least one (1) time, at
19 least ten (10) days, prior to said hearing.
201 SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
211 finds that it is in the public interests and convenience to
22 require the same of a public site dedicated to a public use, as
23 hereinafter described.

SECTION 4: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
251 her<<J agrees to sell said property, as hereinafter described, to

26 Julius L. Zelman and Anita Zelman, husband and wife, upon the
27 terms and conditions as set forth in that certain letter agreement
28 set forth in the letter of the Zelman Development Company and
29 addressed to Mr. David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer of the City of
I
30 Vernon, and dmed November 21, 1967, and further, pursuant to the
31 terms and conditions set forth in escrow instructions with Title
32 Insurance and Trust Company, which escrow instructions the Mayor
I.
,1 and City Clerk of the City of Vernon are hereby authorized to
2 execute on behalf of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 5: That the property to be sold is described
as follows:
That portion of C. M. Moore's Home Place, in the City
of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of California,
as per map recorded in Book 7, Page 82 of maps in the
Office of the County Recorder of said County described as
follows:
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 7, in Block
4 of New Vernon, in the City of Vernon, County of Los
Angeles, state of california, as shown on the map recorded
on Book 4, Mage 64 of Maps, records of said County, thence
westerly along the southerly line of said Lot 7 to a
line parallel with and 40 feet westerly measured at right
angles, from the southerly prolongation of the easterly
line of said Lot 7; thence southerly along said parallel
line a distance of approximately 394.01 feet to the north
line of 48th street as described in the deed to the City
of Vernon recorded on September 27, 1943, as 'Instrument
No. 670 in Book 20325, Page 106 of Official Records of
said County; thence easterly along said last mentioned
north line to the southerly prolongation of the easterly
line of said Lot 7; thence northerly along said prolonged
easterly line to the point of beginning.
SECTION 6: That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City
18 of Vernon are hereby authorized to execute and deliver a deed in
19 order to complete the sale of the property as described above.

SECTION 7: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
21 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
22 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
23 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of January, 1968.
