RESOLUTION NO. 2935
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON REQUESTING
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO PERMIT
THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES
TO THE CITY OF VERNON, RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON APRIL 9, 1968.

WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in
the City of Vernon on April 9, 1968; and
WIfEREAS, in the course of conduct of said election and
in relation thereto it will be necessary to maiL sample ,ballots
and polling place inserts to the registered voters of the City,
and it will facilitate such mailing of. the. Registrar of Voters
of the County of Los Angeles will prepare and furnish to the City
the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters
of said City on I.B.M. polling place inserts furnished by the
City, and after bursting the forms will insert the polling place
insert and sample ballot into envelopes, all to be furnished by
the City, will place all envelopes in zip-coded mail bags, advise
18, City Clerk of the number of pieces to be mailed, prepare POD Form
19 3602, u!3tatement of Mailing Matter With Permit ImprintsU, and
20, advise the City Clerk when work is complete'so delivery can be
21 arranged; and

23 shall be paid by the City of Vernon;
WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Vernon
25 does hereby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follows:

SECTION 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Section
27 22003 of the Elections'Code of the State of California, this City
28 Council hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to
29 permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to said City
30 for use in conducting said election to be held on April 9, 1968,
31 the iDlprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters
32 of said City on I.B.M. polling place inserts furnished by the City

SECTION 2: That said City shall reimburse said County
8 for services performed when the work is completed and upon pre-
9 sentation to the City of a properly approved bill.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
11 forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said
12 Registrar of voters, each a certified copy of this resolution.

SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
14 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
15 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
16 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of January, 1968.
