RESOLUTION NO. 2939
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AUTHORIZING
THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN CITY RECORDS, POCUMENTS, INSTRUMENTS,
BOOKS, AND PAPERS PURSUANT TO GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 34090.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS :FOLLOWS:

5 WHERBS, the City Clerk of the City of Vernon, under date
61 of January 4, 1968, has recommended that certain records, docu-

7 ments, instruments, books, and papers under his charge and under
8 the charge of other department heads be destroyed, and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds
I
10 that none of the foregoing records affect the title to real pro-
111 perty or liens thereon, and
121 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon finds
13 that none of said records are court records nor are records
14, required to be kept by statute, and that the same are more than
15 five years old, and that none of said records are minutes, ordi-
16 nances, or resolutions of the legislative body of the City of

Vernon, and
WHEREAS, the written consent of the City Attorney and
the heads of each appropriate City Department to the destruction

of such records have been obtained,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby authorize the destruction by the department head in
charge of said records, without making a copy thereof.
SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
finds that the same are no longer required for any purposes of the
City of Vernon.
SECTION 3: The records, documents, instruments, books
or papers to be destroyed areas follows; all 10r the calendar
