RESOLUTION No. 2942
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF F. W. RICHTER ASSOCIATES FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF
3 51ST STREET, ALAMEDA STREET TO SANTA FE AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT No. 328.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 328 was approved by the City
Council of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2928, and pursuant
thereto sealed bids were opened on January 16, 1968, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to David D. Grayson,
Traffic Engineer, who has reported to the City Council under date
of January 25, 1968" recommending that the contr~ be awarded to
F. W. Richter Associates for the sum of $117,729.40, it being the
lowest bid meeting the contract requirements,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION I: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
tions of David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer, and authorizes the
execu~ion ofa contract with F. W. Riehter Associates for the
reconstruction of 5lst Street, Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue,
in accordance with Contract No. 328, heretofore approved by the
City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the
23 City Clerk is hereby instructed to return all checks or drafts to
24 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
27 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
28 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of February, 1968.
