2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA,
ORDERING THE CANVASS OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
3 ON THE 9TH DAY OF APRIL, 1968, TO BE MADE BY THE CITY CLERK OF THE
CITY OF VERNON, CALIFORNIA.

5 WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election will be
6 held and conducted in the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles,
7 State of California, on Tuesday, the 9th day of April, 1968, as
8 required by law; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of said City desires the can-
10 vass of said election to be made by the City Clerk of said City;
111 NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON,
12 CALIFORNIA~ DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS
13 FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That pursuant to Section 22932.5 of the
15 Elections Code of the State of California, the canvass of the
16 regular general municipal election to be held in the City of
17 Vernon, County of Los Angeles, State of California, on TueSday,
18 the 9th day of April, 1968, is hereby ordered to be made by the
19 City Clerk of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of said City shall prior
21 to the 16th day of April, 1968, complete the canvass of the regular
22 general municipal election to be held in said City on the 9th day
23 of April, 1968, and shall certify the results to this said City
24 Council on the 16th day of April, 1968.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
27 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.

hereby certify that the foregoing resolution, being Resolution
No. 2944, was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of
Vernon, and approved by the Mayor of said City, at a regular
meeting of the City Council held on February 20, 1968.
