2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, DETERMINING
A NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL CIRCULATION, AUTHORIZING A PUBLICATION OF
3 NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING IN THE SAME, AND SCHEDULING A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE ADOPi'ION OF ORDINANCE NO. 791.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 791 of ~he City of Vernon, relating

7 to the regulation of the installation, arrangement, alteration,
8 repair, use, and operation of electric wiring, connections, fixtures,
9 and other electrical appliances on premises within the City of
10 Vernon, has been read for the first time by title only at a

111 regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Vernon, held on
121 March 19, 1968, and

13 WHEREAS, said Ordinance incorporates by reference all or
14 a portion of the Electrical Safety Orders, 1963 Edition, issued
15 by the Division of Industrial Safety of the State of California,
16 and the National E1.ectrica1 Code, 1965 Edition, as approved by the
17 American Standards Association, and
18 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 50022.3 of the Government
19 Code of the State of California, a notice of said hearing must be
20 published in a newspaper of general circulation in or nearest to
21 the City of Vernon,
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
24 does hereby determine that the Los Angeles Daily Journal is a

25 newspaper of general circulation nearest to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
27 does hereby schedule a public hearing relating to the adoption of
28 Ordinance No. 791 of the City of Vernon on the 16th day of April,
29 1968, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., or as soon thereafter as the same can
30 be conveniently heard, in the City Council Chambers of the City of
31 Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California.

SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

.1 authorizes and directs the City Clerk of the City of Vernon to
2 publish a notice of public hearing in said Los Angeles Daily
3 Journal pursuant to Sections 50022.3 and 6066 of the Government
4 Code of the state of California.

SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
6 is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution,
7 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
8 effect.
9 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 19th day of March, 1968.
