RESOLUTION NO. 2953
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'l'HE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF VERNON . PAVING COMPANY FOR HEATER REMIXING AND ASPHALT
RESURFACING OF CERTAIN STREETS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 331.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 331 was approved by the City
Council of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2943, and,
pursuant thereto, sealed bids were opened on March 5, 1968, and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to D. D. Grayson,
Traffic Engineer, who has reported to the City Council under date
of March 13, 1968, recommending that the contract be awarded to
111 Vernon Paving Company for the sum of Thirty-Eight Thousand, Nine

121 Hundred, Forty-Eight & 67/100 Dollars ($38,948.67), it being the
13 lowest bid meeting the contract requirements,

14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
17 tions of D. D. Grayson, and authorizes the execution of a contract
18 with Vernon Paving Company, for heater remixing and asphalt re-
19 surfacing of certain streets in accordance with Contract No. 331
20 heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the
22 City Clerk is hereby instructed to return all checks or drafts
23 to unsuccessful bidders.
241 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
25 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
26 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
