RESOLUTION NO. 2954
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON,DETERMINING
A NEWSPAPER OF GENERAL CIRCULATIOli, AUTHORIZING A PUBLICATION OF
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARIliG IN THE SAME, AND SCHEDULING A PUBLIC
HEARING FOR THE ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE NO. 792.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF .TIre CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, QrdinanceNo. 792 of the City of Vernon, relating
7 to the regulation of travel, stopping, standing, and parking of
8 vehicles and pedestrians on the public streets and highways of the
9 City of Vernon, has been read for the first time by title only at
10 a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Vernon, held
11 on March 19, 1968, and
12 WHEREAS, said Ordinance incorporates by reference a
13 portion of the Vehicle Code of the State of California, and
14 WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 50022.3 of the Government
15 Code of the State of California, a notice of said hearing must be
16 published in a newspaper of general circulation in or nearest to
17 the City of Vernon,
18 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
20 does hereby determine that the Los Angeles Daily Journal is a
21 newspaper of general circulation nearest to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
23 does hereby schedule a public hearing relating to the adoption of
24 Ordinance No. 792 of the City of Vernon on the 16th day of April,
25 1968, at 2:00 o'clock P.M., or as sOOn thereafter as the same can
26 be conveniently heard, in the City Council Chambers of the City of
27 Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon, California.
SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon

29 authorizes and directs the City Clerk of the City of Vernon to
30 publish a notice of public hearing in said Los Angeles Daily
31 Journal pursuant to Sections 50022.3 and 6066 of the Government
32 Code of the State of California.

SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon

2 is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution,
3 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
4 effect.
5 ADOPTED andAPPROVED this 19th day of March, 1968.
