RESOLUTION NO. 2960
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF CLEANING AND CEMENT LINING OF WATER MAINS, IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 333 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Pipe Linings, Inc. was awarded the contract
for the work of cleaning and cement lining of water mains in
accordance with Contract No. 333 of the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, R. H. King, Superintendent of the Water
Department, has reported to the City Council under date of May 2,
1968, that the work of cleaning and cement lining of water mains
under Contract No. 333 has been completed, and recommends that
the work be accepted, and payment be made to the contractor in
accordance with the agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
Section 1- That the work of cleaning and cement lining
16 of water mains in accordance with Contract No. 333 is hereby
17 approved by the City of Vernon.

Section 2: That a partial payment of $94,395.69 has
19 been made and that a partial payment of $4,867.51 is now due and
20 payable, and that the remaining fifteen (l5%) per cent, or the
21 sum of $17,5l7.03 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
22 adoption of this resolution, and the City Council hereby directs
23 payment of said sums to the contractor, Pipe Linings, Inc.

Section 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
25 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and there-
26 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
27 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 7th day of May, 1968.
