RESOLUTION NO. 2961
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
3 THE WORK FOR HEATER REMIXING AND ASPHALT RESURFACING OF CERTAIN
4 STREETS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 331 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOW:
6 WHEREAS, Vernon Paving Company was awarded the contract
7 for heater remixing and asphalt resurfacing in accordance with
8 Contract No. 331 of the City of Vernon, and
9 WHEREAS, D. D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer, has reported
10 to the City Council under date of May 3, 1968, that the work for
11, heater remixing and asphalt resurfacing of certain streets has been
12 completed and recommends that the work be accepted, and payment be
13 made to the contractor in accordance with the agreement,
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: That the work Of heater remixing and
16 asphalt resurfacing of certain streets, in accordance with
17 Contract No. 33l is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

Section 2: That a final partial payment of $34,681.46
19 is now due arid payable and that the remaining fifteen (15%) per
20 cent, or the sum of $6,120.26 is payable thirty-five :(35) days
21 after the adoption of this resolution, and the City Council hereby
22 directs payment of said sums to the contractor, Vernon Paving
23 Company.

Section 3: The City Clerk of the city of Vernon shall
25 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and there-
26 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
27 ADOPTED and approved, this 7th day of May, 1968.
