.1 RESOLUTION NO. 2962
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, URGING THE
ADOPTION OF ASSEMBLY BILL 15 and SENATE BILL 11.

4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, .it is critical to the future growth and deve10p-
6 ment of Southern California that the State water project be com-
7 p1eted on schedule; and
8 WHEREAS, it appears that there will be a deficiency in
9 funds for scheduled completion of the project; and
10 WHEREAS, Assembly Bill 15 and Senate Bill 11 will make
111 additional monies available for the Central Valley Water Project
I
12 Construction Fund for construction of State water facilities; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon urges
14 the adoption of these measures as a solution to, construction fund
15 deficiencies;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section l: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 urges the adoption of Assembly Bill 15 and Senate Bill 11 by the
19 Legislature of the State of California.

Section 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
21 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
22 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
23 Adopted and Approved this 7th day of May, 1968.
