RESOLUTION NO. 2971
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, CONTINUING
THE RETENTION OF PAUL P. HENDRICKS AS CONSULTING ELECTRICAL
3 ENG lNEER OF THE CITY. OF VERNON.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon is in need of a Consulting
6 Electrica.IEagineer to insure the proper operation.' of the VerDOn
7 Light aad Power System, aDd
8 WHEREAS, Paul P. Hendricks is faaiIiar with said Light a d
9 Power System, and has previously served the City as Co.suIting
10 Electrical Engineer,
11 NOW, THEREFOR].<.:, BE IT RESOLVED:

Section 1: That the retention of Paul P. Hendricks as
13 Consulti.g Electrical Engineer fir the City of Vernon is hereby
14 continued.

Section 2: That the duties of said Paul P. Hendricks
16 shall be to work with the City Council of the City of Vernon,
17 and advise the same regarding the operation of the Light and Power
18 System of the City of Vernon.

Section 3: That said Consulting Electrical Engineer of
20 the City of Vernon is hereby retained at a salary of $1,750.00
21 per month, payable in advance, commencing July 1, 1968, plus a
22 reimbursement of any moneys advanced or expended by sa id Consul t-
23 ing Electrical Engineer on behalf of the City of VernoR for
24 necessary and reasonable expenses in the performance of his
25 services for the City~ exclusive of office facilities, secretarial
26 services, local telephone charges, and local automobile trans-
27 portation.

Section 4: Resolution No. 2907 and all Resolutions in
29 conflict herewith, are hereby repealed as of June 30, 1968.

Section 5: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
31 certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon ahd
32 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
