~ RESOLUTION NO. 2974
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPTING
THE WORK FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT SLAUSON AVENUE AND
3 BOYLE-STATE STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 330 OF THE
CITY OF VERNON.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, C.T. & F., Inc. was awarded the contract for
7 traffic signal installation at Slauson Avenue and Boyle-State
8 Street, in accordance with Contract No. 330 of the City of Vernon,
9 and
10 WHEREAS, D. D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer, has reported
11 to the City Council under date of July 29, 1968 that the work
12 for traffic signal installation at Slauson Avenue and Boyle-
13 State Street has been completed and recommends that the work be
14 accepted, and payment be made to the contractor in accordance
15 with the agreement,
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the work of traffic signal installa-
18 tion at Slauson Avenue and Boyle-State Street, in accordance
19 with Contract No. 330, is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That a partial payment of $l2,002.00 has
21 been .ade, and that the remaining fifteen (15%) per cent, or the
22 sum of $2,118.00 is payable thi.rty-five (35) days after the
23 adoption of this resolution, and the City Council hereby directs
24 the payment of said sums to the contractor C.T. & F., Inc.
25
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
26 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
27 thereafter the same shall be in full ~orce and effect.
