2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIm CITY OF VERNON FIXING THE
RATE OF TAXES AND LEVYING THE TAXES FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
3, JULY 1, 1968.
i! THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: That for the purpose of raising the sum of
6, money to be raised by taxation upon taxable property in the City
7 of Vernon as revenue to carryon the various departments of the
8 City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1968, the rate of
9 taxes for the different portions of the City of Vernon are J:ereby
10 fixed and the taxes are hereby levied on all taxable property in
11 the different portions of said City for the fiscal year beginning
12 July 1, 1968, in the number of cents upon each one hundred dollars
1:3 of the assessed value of said property, as assessed by the County
14 Assessor and equa.l~zed by the Board of Supervisors of said County
15 of Los Angeles, and for the several funds and purposes set forth
16 in the follo\Ving table, the taxes levied upon property in each
17 portion of said City hereinafter described and designated by a
18 district number, being at the rates set opposite the designations
19 of the respective funds in the column headed by the district
20 number Which is prefixed to the description of each such portion
21 of said City, as hereinafter stated.

DISTRICT NO.1: All that portion of the City of Vernon
as it existed prior to November 5, 1958.
DISTRICT NO.2: All that territory annexed to the City
25 of Vernon subsequent to November 5, 1958.

SECTION 2: That in addition to the foregoing there is
2 hereby levied upon all taxable property in Vernon Sewer District
:3 No.1 in said City for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1968,
4 in the number of cents upon each $100.00 of the assessed value
5 of said property as assessed by the County Assessor and equalized
6 by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Los Angeles, for the
7 fund and purpose set forth in the following table:

SECTION 3: There being no newspaper printed, published
12. and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk is hereby
13 directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and shall
14 post same, or cause Same to be posted in three of the most public
15 places in the City of Vernon, to wit: The northwest corner of
16 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; at the northeast corner of Leonis
17 Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin board in the
18 lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305
19 Santa Fe Avenue, in said City, and that immediately upon the
20 posting thereof this Resolution shall be in full force and effect.
