2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, FINDING
AND DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE
3 I ACQUIS ITION OF CERTA IN REAL PROPERTY FOR THE PURJ:lQSES OF IMPROVING
PUBLIC STREETS BY THE CITY OF VERNON.

THE CITY COmrCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS;
SECTION 1: It is hereby found and determined that the
public interest and necessity require the acquisition of certain
hereinafter described real property to be used for and necessary
for the improvement of a public street within the City of Vernon,
for the benefit of said City and the inhabitants thereof.
SECTION 2; The public interest and necessity require
the acquisition by the City of Vernon of said after-described
real property for the public improvement known as the 25th Street-
26th Street.-Santa Fe Avenue intersection improvement project,
located within the City of Vernon, and require the taking and
acquisition of all the right, title, and interest of all owners
and claimants thereto, and any and all persons, firms, and
organizations associated with the owners of said property, whether
as lien holders, trustees, or otherwise, in and to the following
described real property:
That portion of lot 4 of Tract NO. 5562, in the city of
Vernon, county of Los Angeles, sta.te of california, a.s per
map recorded in book 61, page 22 of Maps, in the office
of the County Recorder of said county, lying northeasterly
of the following described lines:
Beginning at a point in the westerly line of Santa Fe
Avenue (80 feet wide) as shown on said map, distant thereon
South 00 33' 10tt East 120.973 feet from the southerly line
of Twenty Fifth Street (60 feet wide) as shown on said map,
said point being the beginning of a curve concave south-
westerly tangent to said westerly line and having a radius
of 40 feet; thence northwesterly along said curve an arc
distance of 37.699 feet; thence North 540 33' lOft West,
tangent to said curve, to the beginning of a tangent curve
concave southwesterly having a radius of 390 feet and being
tangent at its westerly terminus to said Southerly line of
Twenty Fifth Street; thence northwesterly along said curve
an arc distance 247.604 feet to. said point of tangency with
said southerly line.
All of the foregoing described property is located

1 entirely within the City of Vernon, County of Los Angeles, state
2 of California.

SECTION 3: Said public improvement is planned and
~ located in the manner which will be most compatible with the
5 greatest public good and the least private injury.

SECTION 4: The City Attorney of the City of Vernon is
7 hereby directed to bring an action in the Superior Court of the
8 State of California for the County of Los Angeles, in the name
9 of the City of Vernon, to condemn by eminent domain proceedings
10 the property described in Section 2 of this resolution.

12. the said City Attorney is hereby empowered to incur in the name
SECTION 5: For the purpose of bringing such an action
13 of and on behalf of said City all obligations and expenses
14 incidental thereto.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
16 certify to the adoption of this resolution by the City Council of
17 the City of Vernon, and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be
18 in full force and effect.
19 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 20th day of August, 1968.
