1 RESOLUTION NO. 2983
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON REQUESTING
RENEWAL OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES FOR POUND
3 SERVICES.
~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, under date of April 30, 1968, the County of
6, Los Angeles advised the City of Vernon that County Pound Ordinance
7 Number 4729 was revised and amended by QrdinanceNumber 9454,
8 effective January 5, 1968; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council on August 20, 1968, did adopt
10 Ordinance No. 795 conforming to County Ordinance Number 9454; and
11 WHEREAS, under date of April 30, 1968, the County of
12 Los Angeles advised the City of Vernon that Vernon's current
13 agreement for pound services is due to expire this year; and
14 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon deems
15 it advisable to renew said agreement;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 hereby requests the renewal of the agreement with the County of
19 Los Angeles for pound services for an additional five-year period.

SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Vernon
21 hereby requests that the County of Los Angeles enforce the pro-
22 visions of Ordinance No. 795 of the City of Vernon, which
23 Ordinance conforms to County Ordinance Number 9454.
24
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
25 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
26 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
27 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th day of September, 1968.
