2 A .RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON REJECTING
THE BID RECEIVED FOR THE PURCHASE OF TWENTY-SIX (26) USED 69 Kv
:3 POWER CIRCUIT BREAKERS.
~ THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, pursuant to a minute order of the City Council
6 of the City of Vernon adopted on the 6th day of August, 1968, a
7 notice inviting bids was duly issued to prospective purchasers of
8 twenty-six (26) used 69 Kv power circuit breakers, and
9 WHEREAS, one bid was received for the purchase of said
10 power breakers, and
11 WHEREAS, said bid was not in the form provided for in
12. the notice inviting bids in that no bid bond, certified check, or
13 draft in the amount of ten per cent (10%) of the amount of the bid
14 submitted was enclosed therewith, and
15 WHEREAS, said bid was not addressed to the City of
16 Vernon in the manner set forth in the notice inviting bids, and
17 WHEREAS, it is deemed by the City of Vernon that the
18 amount of the bid was too small to be worthy of consideration,
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
21 does hereby reject the bid received for the purchase of twenty-six
22 (26) used 69.Kv power circuit breakers addressed to the City
23 Council ~1 the c~ty of Vernon, to be opened at 2:00 o'clock P.M.
24 on October 1, 1968.

SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 is hereby directed to certify to the passage of this resolution,
27 and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and
28 effect.
