RESOLUTION NO.2989
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF Th~ CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE WORK FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF 51ST STREET, ALAMEDA STREET TO
:3 SANTA I'E AVENUE, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 328 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, F. W. Richter Associates was awarded the
7 contract for the reconstruction of 51st Street, Alameda Street to
8 Santa Fe Avenue, in accordance with Contract No. 328 of the City
9 of Vernon, and
10 WHEREAS, David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer, has
11 reported to the City Council under date of November l4, 1968, that
12 the work for the reconstruction of 51st Street, Alameda Street to
13 Santa Fe Avenue, has been completed, and recommends that the work
14 be accepted, and payment be made to the contractor in accordance
15 with the agreement,
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:.

SECTION 1: That the work of reconstruction of 5lst
18 Street, Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue, in accordance with
19 Contract No. ..328, is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:. That a partial payment of $79,049.32 has
21 been made and that a final partial payment of $25,504.95 should
22 now be paid, and that the remaining fifteen (15%) per cent, or
23 the sum of $18,450.75 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
24 adoption of this resolution, and the City Council hereby directs
25 the payment of said sums to the contractor Fl. W. Richter
26 Associates.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
28 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
29 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
