RESOLUTION NO. 2998
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON CONSENTING
TO THE TRANSFER OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY IN THE CITY OF
HUNTINGTON PARK TO THE CITY OF VERNON PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS
OF ARTICLE 4.5 OF CHAPTER 1, PART 2, DIVISION 2, TITLE 4 OF THE
GOVERNMENT CODE OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Huntington Park has commenced
proceedings for the transfer of certain uninhabited territory from
the City of Huntington Park to the City of Vernon, and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon desires to consent to said
transfer;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
13 hereby consents to the initiation of proceedings by the City of
14 Huntington Park for the transfer to the City of Vernon of certain
15 uninhabited territory described herein.

SECTION 2: That the boundaries of the territory pro-
posed to be transferred to the City of Vernon are as follows:
Beginning at a pOint on the common boundary lie of the
City of Vernon and the City of Huntington Park, as said
boundary line exists on December 2, 1968; said point being
the most westerly corner of Lot 3 of Tract NO. 4293,
recorded in Book 47, page 93 of Maps, in the office of the
County Recorder of Los Angeles County, thence southwesterly
along a curve concave northweste:r1y, said curve being
parallel .and concentric and 15 feet northwesterly at right
angles from the center line of tb.e Redondo BJ:"anch .of the
Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad, a distance of
464.91 feet; thence continuing parallel to the center line
of said Redondo Branch, South 890 23' 40" West 474.66
feet to the southeasterly corner of Lot 2, Tract No. 8348,
as per map recorded in Book 107, page 67 of Maps, in the
office of the County Recorder of said County; thence along
the southerly line of said Lot and tha southerly line of
Lot 3 of said tract and the prolongation of said southerly
line of Lot 3 to the common boundary line of the City of
Vernon and the City of Huntington Park as said boundary
line exists on December 2, 1968; thence along said boundary
line northerly and easterly to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
30 hereby consents to the transfer to the City of Vernon of the
31 property hereinabove described.

SECTION 4: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is

SECTION 5: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
5 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
51 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
