RESOLUTION NO. 2999
:3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF PIPE LININGS, INC. FOR WATER MAIN LINING ~ PHASE II,
3 IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 339.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, Contract No. 339 was approved by the City
6 Council of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2995, and pursuant
7 thereto sealed bids were opened on February 4, 1969, and
S WHEREAS, said bids were referred to the Superintendent
9 of the Water Department, who has reported to the City Council
10 under date of February 13, 1969, recommending that the contract
11 be awarded to Pipe Linings, Inc., for the sum of $96,471.72, it
12 being the lowest bid meeting the contract requirements,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
15 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
16 tions of Robert H. King, Superintendent of the Water Department,
17 and authorizes the execution of a contract with Pipe Linings, Inc.
18 for water main lining - phase II in accordance with Contract No.
19 339 heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the
21 City Clerk is hereby instructed to return all checks or drafts
22 to unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
24 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
25 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18th day of February, 1969.
