RESOLUTION NO. 3018
A.RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON.-ACCEPTIMG
THE BID OF R. .M. VUKANOVICH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR BARDINI
BOULEVARD WATER MAIN EXTENSION ACROSS LOS ANGELES RIVER BRIDGE,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 340.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 340 was approved by the City
Council of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 3013, and
pursuant theretG, sealed bids were QpeBed on May 20, 1969,a.nd
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to the Superintendent
of the Water DepartmeDt, who has reported to the City Council
under date of May 23, 1969, recommending that the contract be
awarded to R. M. Vukanovich Construction Company, for the sum of
$29,091.00, it being the lowest bid meeting the contract require-
ments,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
18 tion of R. H. King, Superintendent of the Water Department, and
19 authorizes the execution of a contract with R. M. Vukaaovicb
20 Construction. C()mpany for Bandini Boulevard water main extension
21 .across Los Aageles River Bridge, in accordance with Contract No.
22 340 heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of VerDon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the
24 City Clerk is bereby instructed to return all checks or drafts
25 to unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of VerBOD
27 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, aDd thereupon
28 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
29 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 3rd day of Juae, 1969.
