RESOLUTION NO. 3021
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, APPROVING
CONTRACT NO. 341 for TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE, 1969-1974, AND
;3 DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING BIDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 341 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, there has been presented to the City Council of
7 the City of V~rnon, Contract No. 341, providing for traffic signal
8 maintenance, 1969-1974, throughout the City of Vernon, and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
10 determined that it is in the best interests of the City that said
11 Contract be awarded in accordance with applicable State laws,
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION I:
That Contract No. 341 is hereby approved by
14 the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2.
That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
16 hereby directed to file in his office in the City Hall of the City
17 of Vernon a copy of Contract No. 341.

SECTION 3:
That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
19 hereby directed to give notice in writing, inviting sealed pro-
20 posals or bids for traffic signal maintenance, 1969-1974Jin the
21 City of Vernon, California, in accordance. with Contract No. 34l
22 of the City of Vernon, and in accordance with this resolution.

SECTION 4:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
24 ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the
25 locality in which the work described in Contract No. 341 is to be
26 perform~d, for each craft, classification, or type of workman
27 needed to execute said contract and that the general prevailing
28 rate of per diem wages a~the general prevailing rate for holiday
29 and overtime work in the locality of the execution of Controct No.
30 341 for each craft, classification, or type of workman needed is
31 set forth in said Contract, and incorporated by reference at this
32 point for all purposes as if set forth in full, and hereby

SECTION 5: That the notice inviting bids shall provide
;3 that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the City of

4 Vernon, California, at the office of the City Clerk of said City,
5 at the City Hall, 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vernon,california, until
6 the hour of 2:00 o'clock P.M., on the 15th day of July, 1969, in
7 accordance with Contract No. 341 approved by said City.

SECTION 6: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
9 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
10 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
11 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 1st day of July, 1969.
