2 A RESOLUTION Qlt' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, EXPRESSING
ITS APPRECIATION TO PETE ROMO FOR illS MANY YEARS OF SERVICE TO
;3 THE CITY OF VERNON.
4 THE CITY COUNC II., OF THE CITY OF VERNON DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, Pete Romo, Utility Man, ".ter Department, has
6 indicated that he will retire from the service of the City of
7 Vernon, effective as of the close of the working day on July 14,
8 1969, and
9 WHEREAS, Pete Romo has been employed by the City of
10 Vernon since March 19, 1947, and bas been a valued and loyal
11 employee of the City of Vernon for over 22 years,and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon
13 expresses its appreciation for the many years of continuousaad
14 devoted service by Pete Romo,
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City ofVernOD
17 hereby takes this opportunity to express its thanks and appre-
18 ciation for the many years of faithful service rendered by Pete
19 Romo to the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
be and he hereby is authorized and directed to forward to Pete
Romo a certified c.opy of this resolution.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon JlbaIl
certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same Jlball be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 1st day of July, 1969.

Mr. Pete Romo, Utility Man, Water Department, has
advised me that he plans to retire from the service of the City
effective at the close of the working day, July 14, 1969.
Mr. Romo joined the City on March 19, 1947. He has
been a valued and loyal employee of the City of Vernon and his
service of over 22 years is to be commended.
It is recommended that his resignation be accepted with
deep appreciation and recognition of faithful, capable and loyal
service.
