2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF VERNON PAVING COMPANY FOR ALAMEDA STREETA'ND 25th
;3 STREET INTERSECTION RECONSTRUCTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
329. .

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, Contract.No. 329 was approved by the,City
7 Council of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 3025, and pu.rsuant
8
thereto sealed bids were opened on August 5, 1969, and

9 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to the Engineering
10 Department,and R. H. King, Director of Public Works, has reported
11 to the City Council, under dat.e of August 14, 1969, recommending
12 thatithe contract be awarded to Vernon Paving Company, for the sum
13 of $81,727.00, being the lowest bid meeting the contract require-
14 ments,
15 NOW ,THEQEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
18 tion of R. H. King, Director of Public Works, and authorizes the
19 executiOl1 of a contract with Vernon Paving Company for Alameda
20 Street and 25th Street intersection reconstruction, in accordance
21 with Contract No. 329 of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the
23 City Clerk is hereby instructed to return all checks or drafts to
24 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 shall certify to the 'passage.of this resolution, and thereupon and
27 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
