RESOLUTION No. 3040
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, AMENDING
RULE III, SUBPARAGRAPH 3, OF RESOLUTION NO. 2224, ESTABLISHING
3 RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR USE OF THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

SECTION 1: Rule III, subparagraph 3, of Resolution No.
6 2224, entitled "By Heads of Departments", as amended by Resolution
7 No. 2292 and as amended by Resolution No. 2308, is hereby amended
8 to read as follows:

"3. By Heads of Departments. In case of an emergency
10 which requires immediate purchase of supplies, equipment
11 or services, the head of any using agency may purchase
12 directly any supplies, equipment or services in the amount
13 of $3,500.00 or less.Tt

SECTION 2: That Resolution No. 2292 and Resolution No.
15 2308 are hereby rescinded in full, and all other provisions of
16 Resolution No. 2224 shall remain in full force and effect,
17
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
18 certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and there-
19 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
20 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 7th day of October, 1969.
