RESOLUTION NO. 3041
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
Ttill BID OF SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY FOR FIRST STREET
3 IMPROVEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 342 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 342 was approved by the City Council
7 of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 3037 and, pursuant thereto,
8 sealed bids were opened on September 16, 1969, and
9 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Robert H. King,
10 Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
11 under date of September 23, 1969, recommending that the contract
12 be awarded to Sully-Miller Contracting Company for the sum of
13 $25,917.70, being the lowest bid meeting the contract requirements,
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
17 tion of Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, and authorizes
18 the execution of a contract with Sully-Miller Contracting Company
19 for First Street improvement in accordance with Contract No. 342
20 of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
~2 Clerk is hereby instructed to return all checks or drafts to
23 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
25 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
26 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
27 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 7th day of October, 1969.
