RESOLUTION NO. 3043
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF DEARTH MACHINERY COMPANY FOR A STREET SWEEPER IN
3 ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 344.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, Contract No. 344 was approved by the City
6 Council of the City of Vernon and, pursuant thereto, sealed bids
7 were opened on September l6, 1969, and
8 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Robert H. King,
9 Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
10 under date of September 18, 1969, recommending that the contract
11. be awarded to Dearth Machinery Company, and that the extra vacuum
12 tank listed in the specifications be deleted for a deduction of
13 $40.00 from the bid price, and that the payment for this equip-
14 ment be made within twenty (20) days from invoice for an additiona
15 discount of $100.00.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
18 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
19 tions of Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, and authorizes
20 the execution of a contract with Dearth Machinery Company for a
21 street sweeper in accordance with contract No. 344 of the City of
22 Vernon, and authorizes the deletion of the extra vacuum tank, and
23 further authorizes the payment for the same to be made within
24 twenty (20) days from invoice.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
27 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
28 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
