.1 RESOLUTION NO. 3044
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ADOPTING
A LICENSE FEE SCHEDULE WHICH SHALL APPLY TO ALL LICENSES GRANTED
3 PURSUANT TO ORDINANCE NO. 796, AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2980.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 796 specifies that the City
6 Council shall establish a schedule of license fees and shall set
7 the amounts of license bonds and liability insurance;
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the issuance fee for licenses granted
10 by the City of Vernon, pursuant to Ordinance No. 796, shall be as
11 follows:

(a) For conveyor bridges, tunnels across a street, pipe
lines or conduits along a street, the issuance fee shall be One
Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), payable prior to the granting of the
15 license, and the annual renewal fee shall be One Hundred Dollars
16 ($100.00) per annum.
17 (b) For pipe lines or conduits across a street, the sum
18 of Five Hundred Dollars($500.00) for an issuance fee, payable
19 prior to the granting of the license, and an annual renewal fee
20 of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per annum.
21 (c) For building footings or appendages, such as water
22 tables, sills, capitals, signs and architectural projections, an
23 issuance fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), payable prior to
24 the granting of the license, and an annual renewal fee of Ten
25 Dollars ($lO.OO) per annum.
26 SECTION 2: That the policy or policies of public
27 liability and property damage insurance shall be in an amount
28 determined by the Director of Public Works of the City of Vernon
29 and approved by the City Attorney of the City of Vernon prior to
30 the issuance of each license as described in Ordinance No. 796.

SECTION 3: That any policy or policies of public
32 liability and property damage insurance shall name the City of

.1 Vernon as a co-insured, and shall further provide that said policy
2 or policies may not be cancelled without giving the City of Vernon

3 at least ten (lO) days written notice of the insurer's intention
4 to so cancel said policy or policies.

SECTION 4: That the faithful performance bond payable
6 to the City of Vernon shall be in an amount determined by the
7 Director of Public Works upon the issuance of each license pro-
8 vided for in Ordinance No. 796, and the same shall be approved by
9 the City Attorney.
SECTION 5: That in addition to the above, the licens~
11 . ee shall pay all fees and deposits necessary to obtain the
13
12 required encroachment permits.
SECTION 6: That Resolution No. 2980 and all other
14 resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 7: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
16 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
17 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
18 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 21st day of October, 1969.
