SECTION 1: 'f'hat the Attorney Geaer.l of California, or
15 any of' his authorized assistants or deputies, be autborized to tall
16 such action in behalf of the City of Vernon, aDd in our na.e, as
17 in his sole discretion, may be deemed appropriate in the prepara-
18 tion, fU i ng, service, and prosl"'CU tion of a civil anti-trust suit
19 fot damages and 0 th~ r 1 ega 1 rece \'e ['Y aga ins t certain -.utomobile
20 manufacturers for conspiring to 1'e lard the introduction of slDOg
21 controL ieviees tn t.he State of CaLifornia.

SECTION 2: That this authorization includes the authorit
23 to ~ettle sucb litigation on suet! tel'ms as the Attorney Geueral
24 or any of his authoriz~!d assistants or ctep1.1ties aa)' deem appro-
25 priate, and to allocate to us our proper and equitable share of
26 any sum recovered as damages, excepting the.mount of attorney. S
27 fees, costs and expenses incurred by the Attorney General, as
28 determined or approved by the court, whether by settle.ent, suit,
29 or otherwis.".
