RESOLUTION NO. 3050
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF VERNON, ACC}i~PTING
THE BID OF P. E. VAN PELT, INCORPORATED, FOR ONE 85 FOOT FIRE
3 TOWER AND LADDER TRUCK MOTOR FIRE APPARATUS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 343.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VImNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 343 was approved by the City
7 Council of the City of Vernon and, pursuant thereto, sealed bids
8 were opened on October 7, 1969, and
9 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to L. C. Husted, Fire
10 Chief, who has reported to the City Council under date of October
11 l6, 1969, recommending that the contract be awarded to P. E. Van
12 Pelt, Incorporated, for the sum of $65,539.00, being the lowest
13 bid meeting the contract requirements,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
15 SECTION l: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
16 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
17 tion of L. C. Husted, Fire Chief, and authorizes the execution of
18 a contract with P. E. Van Pelt, Incorporated, for one 85 foot fire
19 tower and ladder truck motor fire apparatus, in accordance with
20 Contract No. 343 of the City of Vernon.
21 SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected.
22 SECTION 3- That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
23 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
24 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
25 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of November, 1969.
