RESOLUTION NO. 3051
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OFI VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF CLEANING AND CEMENT LINING OF WATER MAINS, IN
3 ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 339 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAs,pipe Linings, Inc. was awarded the contract for
6 cleaning and cement lining of water mains, in accordance with
7 Contract No. 339 of the City of Vernon, and
8 WHEREAS, R. H. King, Director of Public Works, has
9 reported to the City Council under date of October 30, 1969, that
10 the work of cleaning and cement lining of water mains has been
11 completed, and recommends that the work be accepted, and payment
12 be made to the contractor in accordance with the agreement,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the work of cleaning and cement lining
15 of water mains, in accordance with Contract No. 339, is hereby
16 approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That partial payments totaling $81,373.84
18 have been made and that a final partial payment of $477.39 should
19 now be paid, and that the remaining fifteen (15%) per cent, or
20 the sum of $14,444.34 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
21 adoption of this resolution, and the City Council hereby directs
22 the payment of said sums to the contractor, Pipe Linings, Inc.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
24 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
25 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 4th day of November, 1969.
