.1 RESOLUTION NO. 3054
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF ROSCOE MOSS COMPANY FOR WELLS 16 AND 17 IN ACCORDANCE
3 WITH CONTRACT NO. 347 OF' THE CITY OF VERNON.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, Contract No. 347 was approved by the City Council
6 of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution No. 3049, and
7 sealed bids were opened on November 18, 1969, and
8 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Robert H. King, Director
9 of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council under date
10 of November 26, 1969, recommending that the contract be awarded
11 to Roscoe Moss Company for the sum of $138,278.00, being the
12 lowest bid meeting the contract requirements, and
13 WHEREAS, said Director of Public Works has recommended that
14 Option II for the construction of two wells be accepted,
15 . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION l: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
18 tion of Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, being for Option
19 II, and authorizes the execution of a contract with Roscoe Moss
20 Company, for Wells 16 and 17, in accordance with Contract No. 347
21 of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected and the City
23 Clerk is hereby instrudBd to return all checks or drafts to
24 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
26 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
27 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
28 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of December, 1969.
