A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, APPROVING
CONTRACT NO. 3.38 FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF BANDINI BOULEVARD AND
37TH STRiETFROll SANTA. FE AVENUE TO A'rLANTIC BOULEVARD AND. SIERRA
PINE AVENUE, AND GIVING NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 338 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, there ha.s been presented to the City Council of
the City of Vernon Contract Ne. 338 providing for. reconstruction
of Balldini Boulevard and 37th Street from Santa Fe AveDue to
Atlantic Boulevar<i and Sierra Jline Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernoa has
determiaed that it is i.'the best interests of the City that said
coatract be awarded in accordance with applicable State laws;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE 'IT RESOLVED:
SECTION I: That C01l.traict No.. 338 is hereby approved by

4 submit with their bids a swern statement of their financial
5 respensibility, technical ability and experieace. Such sworn
6 statemeat may be required befere award is made to any particular
7 bidder.

9 pursuant to this netice shall be made out on a fGrm to be obtained
10 at the Office of the Traffic Engineer; shall be accGmpllaied by II
11 certified check, draft or bid bond, payable at a bank authorized

14 per cent (10%) of the bid submitted, shall be delivered to the

22 being requested to do so by the City Clerk of the City of Vernon,
23 california. The successful bidder will be required tG furnish a
24 labor and material bond in an amount equal to fifty per cent
25 (50%) of the Contract price, and a faithful performance bond in
26 an amGuJilt equal to ane hundred per cent (100%) of the Contract
27 price.
