RESOLUTION NO. 3067
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, REQUESTIN
THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO PERMIT
THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED
SERVICES TO THE CITY OF VERNON, RELATING TO THE CONDUCT OF A
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE.HELD IN SAID CITY ON APRIL 14, 1 O.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in
7 the City of Vernon on April 14, 1970; and
8 WHEREAS, .. in the course of conduct of said election and
9 in relation thereto it will be necessary to mail sample ballots
10 and polling place ins~rts to the registered voters of the City,
11 and it will facilitate such mailing if the Registrar of Voters
12 of the County of LOs Angeles will prepare and furnish the City
13 'the imprinting of the. names and addresses of the registered voter
14. of said City on l.B.M.polling place inserts furnished by the
15 City, and after bursting the forms will insert. the polling place
16 insert and sample ballot into envelopes, all to be furnished by
17 the City, will place all envelopes in zip-coded ma.il bags,
18 advise City Clerk of the number of pieces to be mailed, pre.pare
19 POD :Form 3602, "Stateme.nt of Mailing Matter With Permit imprintstt,
20 and advise the City Clerk when work is complete so delivery can
21 be arranged; and
22 WHEREAS, all necessary expense in performing this service
23 shall be paid by the City of Vernon;
24 NOW, THEREFGR$, the City council of the City of Vernon
25 does h~reby RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER as follOWS:

SnGTION 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Section
27 22003 of the ElectionS Code of the State of california, this City
28 Counci.l hereby requests the Board of Supervisors of said County
29 to permit the Registrar of Voters to prepare and furnish to said
30 City for use in conducting said election to be held on April 14,
3.1 1970, the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered
32 voters of said City on LB.M. polling place inserts furnished by

SECTION 2: That said City shall reimburse said County for
9 services pe~fo~med when the work is completed and upon presenta-
10 tion to the City of a.properly approved bill.

Section 3: Tha.t the City Clerk is hereby directed to
12 forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said

13 Registrar of.Voters, each a certified copy of this resolution.

SECTION 4: 1:'hat the City .Clerk of the City of Vernon
15 shall certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and
16 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
17 ADOPTED, SIGNED AND APPROVED this 6th day of January, 1970.
