2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF JOHN W. TIEDMAN CO. FOR IMPROVEMENT OF DOWNEY ROAD
3 PROPERTY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 350 OF THE CITY OF VERNO ·
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, Contract No. 350 was approved by the .City
6 Council of the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution 3062, and
7 sealed bids were opened on January 20, 1970, and
8 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Robert H. King,
9 Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
10 under date of January'.'27, 1970, recommending that the contract be
11 awarded to. John W. 'Fiedman Co. for the sum of $3,854.00, being the
12 lowest bid meetingthecontract'requf;r~ments,
13 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the c~ty. co~ncil of the city'of Vernon
15 does hereby award the contract ina'ctiordance with the recommenda-
16 tion o.f Robert H. Kin~lDirector ofPubli~ Works, and authorizes
17 the execution '. of a contract with John W. Tiedman Co. for improve-
18 ment of DOwney Road proper.ty, in accordance with Contract No. 350
19 of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected, and the
21 City Clerk is hereby instructed to return all checks or drafts to
:Z2 unsuccessful .bidders.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
24 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
25 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED and APPROVED thiS 3rd day of February, 1970.
