A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY!'COUN~IL' OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF STRECKER CONStRUCTION COMPANY FOR RECONSTRUCTION OF
BANDINI BOULEVARD AND 37TH STREET .FROM SANTA FE AVENUE TO ATLANTIC
BOUBEVARDAND SIERRA< PINE AVENUE, IN 1\CCPRDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
338 OF THE CITY OF Vl:RNON.' . r- " ....
THE CITY COlJNCIL OF THE CtTY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS., Contract No. 338 was approved by the City
Council 0+.. .the City of Vernon, pursuant to Resolution 3059, and
sealed bids.were opened on January 20, 1970, and
WHEREAS, sald bids were referred to Robert H. King,
Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
under date of January.29, 1970, recommending that the contract be
awarded to Strecker construction Company, for the sum of
$1,177,442.98, being the lowest bid meeting the contract require-
ments
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does 'hereby award the contract in accordance with the reconunenda-
18 tion of Robert H. King, Director of Public WorkS, and authoriz.es
19 the execution of a contract with Strecker Construction Company,
20 for reconstruction of BandiniBoulevard and 37th Street from
21 Santa Fe Avenue to Atlantic Boulevard and Sierra Pine 'Avenue, in
:Z2 accord~\1we with Contract No . 338 of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected, and the
24 City Clerk.is hereby instructed to return all checks or drafts to
25 unsuccessful' bidders.

SECTION 3: That.the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
27 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and ,thereupon'
28 and thaeafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
29 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 3rd day of February, 1970.
