RESOLUTION 3075
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON., ACCEPTING
THE BID .OF G.J . PAYNE COMPANY, FOR HEATERREKIXING AND ASPHALT
3 RESURFACING ,OF CERTAIN STREETS, IN ACCORDANCE. WITH CONTRACT NO. 336
OF THE CITY. OF VERNON.

5 THE CITY'. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS, Contract No. 336 was approved by the City Council
7 of the City C)f Vernon, pursuant to Resolution No. 3068, and sealed
8 bids w~re opened on February 3, 1970, and
9
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Robert H. King,
10 Director of Public Works, who has reported to the City Council
11 under date of February 9, 1970, recommending that the contract be
12 awarded to G. J. Payne Company, for the sum of $121,060.16, being
13 the lowest bid meeting the contract requirements,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT. RESOLVED:
SECTION 1: That the City Co'Uncil of the City of Vernon
16 does hereby award thecontract'in accordance with the recommenda-
17 tion of Robert H. King, DirectC)r of Public Works, and authorizes
18 the execution of a contract wi th G. J . payne Company , for heater
19 remixing and asphalt resurfacing of certain streets in accordance
20 with Contract No. 336 of the Ci tyof Vernon.

SECTION 2: That ,all other bids. are rejected, and the
