.1 RESOLUTION NO. 3080
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF CONSTRUCTING WATER AND SEWER LINES IN JEWEL AVENUE
3 IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 348 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS,L.D.M. Pipe Line, Inc. was awarded the con-
6 tract for constructing water and sewer lines in Jewel Avenue
7 (Private) in accordance with Contract No. 348 of the City of Vernon
8 and
9 WHEREAS, Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, has
10 reported to the City Council under date of March 12, 1970, that
11 the work of constructing water mains and sewer lines in Jewel
12 Avenue (Private) has been completed, and recommends that the work
13 be accepted, and payment be made to the contractor in accordance
14 with the agreement,
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the work of constructing water and
17 sewer lines in Jewel Avenue (Private) in accordance with Contract
18 No. 348 is hereby approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2. That partial payments totaling $30,311.08
20 have been made, and that a final partial payment of $2,753.07
21 should now be paid, and that the remaining fifteen (15%) per cent,
22 or the sum of $5,834.85 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
23 adoption of this resolution, and the City Council hereby directs
24 the payment of said sums to the contractor, L.D.M. Pipe Line, Inc.

SECTION 3. That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
26 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
27 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
28 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 17th day of March, 1970.
