.1 RESOLUTION NO. 3092
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
. THE WORK. FOll, IMPROVEMENT OF DOWNEY ROAD PROPERTY, IN ACCORDANCE
3 WITH CONTRACT NO. 350 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, John W. Tiedemann Company was awarded the
6 contract for the improvement of Downey Road property, in
7 accordance with Contract No. 350 of the City of Vernon, and
a WHEREAS, Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, has
9 reported to the City Council under date of April 16, 1970, that
10 the work of improvemen.t .of Downey Road property has been completed
11 and recommends th*'t.~the' work be accepted and payment be made to
12 the contractor in accordance with the agreement,
13 .'NOW ,'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the work of improvement of Downey Road
15 property in accordance'with Contract No. 350 of the City of Vernon
16 is hereby approved bythe'City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That ,a-payment ill the amount of $3,228.30
18 should now be paid, and the remaining fifteen (15%) per cent,
19 or the sum of $569.70 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
20 adoption of this resolution, and the City Council hereby directs
21 the payment of said sums to John W. Tiedemann Company.

SECT~ON 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall. certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
