RESOLUTION NO. 3098
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF HEATER REMIXING AND ASPHALT RESURFACING OF CERTAIN
3 STREETS, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 336 of THE CITY OF
VERNON.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, G. J. Payne Company was awarded th~ contract
7 for heater remixing and asphalt resurfacing of certain stre.ets
8 in accordance with Contract No. 336 of the Ci tyof Vernon, and
9 WHEREAS, Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, has
10 reported to the City Council under date of June 10, 1970, that
11 the work of heater remixing and asphalt resurfacing of certain
12 streets has been completed and recommends that the work be
13 accepted and payment be made to the contractor in accordance
14 with the agreement,
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the work of heater remixing and
17 asphal t resurfacing of certain streets in accordance with
18 Contract No. 336.of the City of Vernon is hereby. approved by
19 the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That a final partial payment of $4,344.86
21 . should now be paid and that the remaining fifteen (l!;>%) per cent
~2 or the sum of $19,109.66 is payable thirty-five (35) days after
23 the adoption o:f th~s resolution, and the City Council hereby
24 directs the paymenti()f said sums to G. J. Payne Company.
