A RESOLUTION OF THE.CITYCOUNC~L OF'THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE WORK OF VE~N()N)PAVING 'QQMPANYFOR RECONSTRUCTING THE INTER-
SECTION. OF ALAMEDA STREET AND 25TH STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 329 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, v~;rnqn Paving Company was awarded the contract
7. for reconstructing the intersection of Alameda Street and 25th
8 street, in accordance with contract No. 329 of the City of Vernon,
9 and
10 WHEREAS,Robert H. King, Director of Public Works, has
11 reported to the City Council under date of July 2, 1970 that the
12 work of reconstructing the intersection of Alameda Street and 25th
13 Street ha.s been completed and recommends that the work be accepted
14 and payment be made to the contractor in accordance with the
15 agreement,
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION It That the work of reconstructing the inter-
18 section of Alameda Street and 25th street, in accordance with
19 contract ,No. 329 of the City of Vernon is hereby approved by the
20 City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That a final payment of $722.50 should now

bepaidt and that the remaining fifteen per cent (15%), or the
23 sum of $13,108.67 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the
24 adoption of this resolution, and the City Council hereby directs
25 the payment of said sums to Vernon Paving Company.

SECTION 3: That the City Clerk of the City of Vernon
27 shall certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon
28 and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
